About Our Company

Iowa Mold & Engineering, Inc. was incorporated in November 1993 with operations beginning in February 1994. We currently have a 14,000 square foot facility.

We specialize in injection, structural foam, and die cast die & mold design and construction.

We also specialize in custom and production wire EDM applications. View our specification sheet.

The bulk of our business is designing and building injection molds for the appliance industry, although, we are certainly not limited to that.

Some of the more familiar end users of parts from molds we've built in the past are Amana Refrigeration, Boeing, Caterpillar, Ford Motor Co., Frigidaire, John Deere, Kawasaki, Maytag, Polaris, Winnebago, and many more.

We currently employ 15 journeymen mold makers and 6 apprentices at various levels. We also have design and engineering capabilities with total employment at 31 working two shifts covering approximately 20-22 hours per day.

Our emphasis to all our mold makers is to become well versed in all the mechanical skills as well as all of the professional and computer skills used to build today's molds. Computer work stations and several CNC machines are accessible to all of our mold makers and apprentices.
